After nearly 30 years, residents of the Punjabi province of Jalandhar, India, now wake up to the majestic sight of the Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas, the Hindustan Times reports. Improved air quality and decreased pollution levels are results of the nationwide lockdown in India, along with the welcome surprise of an impressive view of the mountains. Senior citizens say almost an entire generation has passed since the mountain range was last visible to the city, 213 kilometers from the range.
