Magena Morris, Tyler Bone and Nick White have teamed up to support the growing number of homeless people in Charlotte, N.C. Hard hit by the pandemic, many are now living in a "tent city." Morris, once homeless herself, constructed donation boxes to leave at local businesses. City residents generously donated second-hand clothing, so the three launched a free "store." Once a month, they set up racks and shelves so people have the feeling of shopping at a regular store. "It's much more humanizing," Bone told the Associated Press. "It creates a more real experience, not just, 'Dig through this box and hopefully you'll find a pair of shoes that match'," he said.
