After a big breakfast at the Notchtop Bakery and Caf in Estes Park, Colo., a customer made the staff's day. When he received his bill, he asked his server how many people were working that day. For a check of $20.04, the customer left a $1,400 tip and specified that $200 was for each of the seven employees. He also left a message that said, Covid sucks! That truly brought tears to all of the servers [and] cooks you know, nobody ever thinks of cooks the cooks were just so surprised and shocked. We were all so shocked, said the caf's owner, Nailya Khametvalieva. The business has struggled during the pandemic and the wildfires in 2020 and yet the owner has kept all of her workers on the schedule.
