It took many twists and turns for Megan Cohen to find the grace she needed to bring her life back from the brink. Cohen dealt with serious addiction issues, was homeless, spent time in prison and was in over 70 treatments centers before she found what it took to turn her life around. Her mother, Jennifer Shablin, eventually turned Cohen into the local Sheriff when she realized she couldn’t keep enabling her daughter’s behavior. Experiencing the kindness of strangers is what finally helped Cohen turn things around. These days, with her family back in her life, Cohen works on her non-profit “The Grace Project,” which is her way of bringing random acts of kindness to the addict community in Philadelphia, Penn.
