Vishnu Gopansothilingan greets customers at the Tim Horton’s drive-thru in Vaughn, Ontario, with positive energy that brightens everyone’s day, said customer Matthew Shulman. “He makes your day,” Shulman said. “This guy, he fist-bumps you, he gives you weather reports. Everybody in the community thinks they’re special and he only does it with them, but it turns out he’s doing it with everybody.” So, when customers learned that Vishnu had to drop out of school at New York University due to financial constraints, they mobilized; Shulman named the GoFundMe campaign “Vishnu The Tim Horton’s Happy Fist Bumper!” “It’s amazing how people appreciate the small thing that I did, which is just giving back the smile they always give to me," Vishnu said. "I love people. This is who I am, giving back and making people smile.”
