Mikayla Gournard did something very special for her 12th birthday. Her grandmother, Evelyn Topper, took her out for tea. When they were finished, Topper paid for their drinks and slipped her wallet back into her coat pocket, but she neglected to zip it closed. When she got home, the wallet was missing. Sean Curry, who has been homeless for five years, called her the next day to tell her he had found the wallet in a dumpster. She was jubilant. When newly 12-year-old Mikayla heard about it, she decided to raise money for Curry rather than asking for personal birthday gifts. Hundreds of dollars in donations came in for him. "I'm humbled," Curry told NBC News. "I'm just blessed. It's hard to express words for it. I'm at a loss. I'm warmed by it, 100 percent."
