The fire started after the family had gone to bed; mother Nicole woke up to the smell of smoke. The family, who has fostered 34 children, lost everything in the fire. They are also dealing with a job loss, due to the pandemic. When a GoFundMe page was created to help support this family in their time of need, the family received over 70 times the original goal.
