Nine-year-old Abby Hucker was stunned when she received a surprise phone call from Norah O'Donnell, anchor for CBS Evening News. The young girl turned out to be a fan of the news show during the pandemic because it helped her tame some of her fears about the crisis through knowledge. The anchor seized the opportunity of the surprise phone call to salute Abby's love for journalism, revealing after their exchange that the 9-year-old wants to be a journalist when she grows up. O'Donnell also took advantage of the call to thank Abby's dad, who contributes to the fight against the virus working at Massachusetts General Hospital.
