Seven-year-old Ally Cheek has a rare genetic mutation and is facing her last Christmas. Ally's mom Morgan said that she told a neighbor that Ally's health was declining, and Ally wanted to see the Christmas lights one more time so her family may be putting up their Christmas decorations early. Soon, neighbors followed suit, and then some more did. The movement became known internationally through the hashtag #lightingtheloopforally, and the family has received Christmas wreaths from Italy, Spain, Peru and Switzerland. One neighbor lent the Cheek family their golf cart, so they can ride around and look at the lights as Ally's condition weakens.
