Cory Schneider decided to gift the 1997 Ford Crown Corona his grandmother had given him to someone in need. Years earlier, after a car accident left him without a vehicle, his grandmother had come to his aid, and now he wanted to pay it forward. He posted a description of the car on Reddit and received many messages, but the one from 31-year-old substitute teacher Mark Selby grabbed his attention. Selby was recuperating from an accident that totaled his car. "When I first got the call, I felt like I was going to cry," Selby told the Tampa Bay Times. He hopes to build an orphanage someday, and the generosity of his neighbors has given him renewed inspiration.
