"Brewed Protein" is a material that can be grown in a bioreactor and used to make clothes. Invented by Japan-based companies Goldwin and Spiber, it holds the key to help make clothing that will reduce the carbon footprint of wool and sheep, and the pollution of our seas by polyester. It's a new product that shows great potential -- and will hopefully be more readily available after Spiber completes its larger production facility in Thailand.
