A man named Shiva has been helping the police recover bodies in the Hussein Sager Lake in Hyderabad, India, for the last two decades. This mission began for him when he was just 10 years old. Many people come to die at this lake, and Shiva has created another purpose for himself: helping to save lives before someone makes this choice. At best guess, he has influenced 114 people from taking their own lives in this lake. Shiva grew up an orphan and bonded with other homeless men and women who taught him how to swim. He has made some money and become a local celebrity from this work, but that is not what drives him. He knows he has an impact on people and families and even puts his own life at risk by doing this heroic work.
