Two New York brothers had an idea: Would someone buy a box of something sight unseen? They were inspired with the idea as a result of their experience of slowly losing their sight to an inherited muscular degenerative disease called Stargardt disease. Their mystery boxes sell from $30 to $200, and profits have exceeded $700,000 since launch in 2016. They fill their boxes with cozy items, and all profits raised support research for funding blindness.
