Motivation is a global charity that serves people with disabilities in developing countries, helping them get wheelchairs and access to other support services. Journalists Action Network reports on how they have stepped up their efforts to support these vulnerable populations during the pandemic, when governments' tendency to forget that not every citizen is able-bodied can have fatal consequences. The nonprofit's Africa team has managed to stay in touch with 2,500 people and provide them with accurate information about Covid-19, an impressive feat for 15 people. The Africa team worked with the Kenyan government to structure a cash transfer model that allowed people with disabilities to buy food, pay rent and support their health needs.
