The new field of vocal analysis could detect illnesses -- from coronavirus to dementia, PTSD to depression. Vocalis, a voice-analysis company, is using their technology to help identify and triage patients with suspected Covid-19 and other diseases, based on voice analysis. There are at least three other research companies doing the same. While this technology is still developing, it is interesting to consider how AI and voice analysis can be used in the future.
