A neglected parking lot has been re-imagined and turned into a garden growing culturally appropriate foods from more than 23 countries. Not only are people growing foods that bring them comfort and a reminder of what home used to be, they are also making friends with refugees from other countries. What's more, they're using the garden as an opportunity for hands-on learning for immigrant children, who are being taught from older immigrant children who are volunteering their time.
