Lauren, McKinley, Avalynn and Chloe became fast friends when they met at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., when they were going through treatment for childhood cancer. In 2016, Chloe's mom suggested they pose for a picture wearing tutus, and a tradition was born. Since completing their treatments, these brave young survivors have met for a reunion every year, always wearing their tutus. One year, they all wore t-shirts that reflected their tough journeys: One said warrior and the others brave," fearless" and strong. Given the pandemic, they switched to Zoom for the 2020 reunion. They caught up on the most important things in their lives at age 7, like how many baby teeth they had each lost, their pets or their quest for pets. "I like that we're all healthy," said McKinley.
