In a context of serious and fatal Covid-19 cases in Japan, a Health Ministry policy intended to have members of the public receive a free dose of vaccine was approved. While it is still unsure how many times a vaccine would have to be administered, everyone will be able to get the first dose. It is also unsure whether or not foreign citizens in Japan will be affected by this policy, though a ministry official has shared their inclusion is being considered for the sake of public health.
