Tel Aviv has launched a pilot program to construct electric roads that will charge public transportation vehicles as they are moving. The company, ElectReon, is developing the system. If the program is successful, these roads will extend citywide. "Our strategic action plan to prepare for climate change has placed the fight against pollution at the top of the municipality's environmental agenda," said the city's mayor, Ron Huldai, in a press release.
