After a large group of pilot whales was stranded in Macquarie Harbor on Tasmania's west coast, 108 survivors were released back into the sea. Marine Conservation Program wildlife biologist Kris Carlyon called it a fantastic outcome after five days of hard work by the rescue team. We only had one whale re-strand overnight, which is a good result, given 20 whales were released yesterday, Dr. Carlyon said.
