The Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project (MORP), focused on the thousands of apple types that have gone extinct, has recently found the elusive orange apple, long believed to be extinct. It's a winter apple that was once revered in the late 1800s, before people focused on the shiny red ones that forced many varieties into extinction. The founders of MORP, the Schuenemeyers, have been on the search for this orange apple for 20 years.
