As opposed to what we tend to believe, prejudice isn't something only other people. And it is not specific to bad people either. In fact, prejudice is in everyone -- it comes from cultural environments (parents, schools, the media), as well as from our thought networks. We unconsciously negatively stereotype other people -- what has now become popularly referred to as implicit bias. Happily, psychology provides a way to fight it.
