Eighteen-year-old Justin Gavin was walking to the neighborhood pharmacy when an SUV passed him. Suddenly, he realized the vehicle was on fire and began shouting at the driver to stop. When she did, he was able to pull the mother and her three children from the car moments before it burst into flames and was destroyed. The teen was honored as a hero by Waterbury, Conn., Police Chief Fernando Spagnolo, who gave him a "challenge coin" -- one of the city's highest honors -- for his act of courage.
