Elias Aviles has run a taco truck in Humble, Texas, just outside Houston, for 6 years. Like many small business owners, his sales have been hard hit by the pandemic. Aviles's 21-year-old daughter Giselle regularly asked her dad about sales, and when he told her he'd made $6 in sales one day, she turned to social media to ask for community support. Her tweet was re-tweeted 2,000 times, and Giselle warned her dad to be ready for more business. The next day, the taco truck had a line when they opened at 8 a.m. (some customers had been waiting since 6 a.m.) and had to close twice that day, once to re-stock and, again, when they were completely sold out.
