Not knowing the magnitude of the event, reporter Carol Marin ran down from her New York City office toward Ground Zero when she saw the breaking news unfold on 9/11. Nineteen years later, she was able to share memories and gratitude with the police officer who guided her to safety and away from the horror and chaos through the debris-filled smoky air.
