With an anticipated shortfall of workers staffing polls for the 2020 election, corporations are incentivizing their staff to help work the polls. Companies, such as Old Navy, are offering employees a day's worth of pay if they sign up to work at the polls. Other companies, like Target, will also give workers paid time off to serve as election workers and to go and vote themselves. Different companies have different incentives for helping staff polls or encouraging their employees to go and vote. These include Snapchat, Spotify, Patagonia, Gap and Walmart. However, they're all hoping the outcome is the same - more civic engagement from their employees and US citizens overall.
