The restaurant Chops & Eggs in Corpus Christi, Tex., served free meals to first responders on September 11. Owner and Chef Jordan Jaradat said, This event is very important to us because it is an opportunity for us to feed them to show them some appreciation." Cory Hill, one of his employees, added, "We just want them to know that on September 11th we want them to come in so that we can serve them just like they served us." The restaurant also collected donations from patrons during the event. Last year the restaurant raised almost $1,200 for the Corpus Christi Police Officers' Association.
