A trailer full of school supplies for a back-to-school giveaway in Chicago was ransacked two days before launch. When the organizer learned about the theft, she posted on social media and experienced an amazing outpouring of support from across the city -- so much so that the event was able to go on as planned. Aside from school supplies, the event helped Chicago Public Schools students sign up for internet service if they didn't have it and provided clothes, hygiene products and other supplies to families in need.
