In Rajasthan, India, a story of nature and kindness unfolds. Since 2005, the village of Piplantri has been under the leadership of Shyam Sudar Paliwal. Paliwal wanted to reverse destruction caused by marble mining by helping nature flourish again. After the tragic death of his daughter, he started a new tradition to celebrate life: the planting of 111 trees upon the birth of every girl child. In addition, small co-operatives led by women now focus on the education of girls. The community's core value, creating a more equal and eco-driven world for the current and future generations, is an inspiration.
