Kathy Sullivan, oceanographer and astronaut, is the first person to both fly in space and touch the deepest part of the ocean. After 15 years as an astronaut, she came back to Earth to focus on the deepest parts of the oceans. These intense experiences have deepened the value she places on family and home. It has been more blessing than sacrifice to have had these experiences," Sullivan said. "We are all sharing this one home, this one little spaceship, Earth. We have to look at it as a place we cherish, a place we want to protect. We're on it together, and we're intimately connected.
