Relentless tides of the Gloucester-Rockport line in Long Beach, Calif., swept a mother and 5 children into its current. Corrie Luongo saw her 3 children and their 2 cousins being dragged further and further out into the ocean before she too became victim to the current after trying to rescue them. Miraculously, employees at a nearby inn, Haley and Billy Cincotta, saw them and paddled out on surfboards to bring them all back to safety. They put their own lives in danger to save people they'd never met. The Cincottas, no stranger to the dangerous current, say that they "always keep an eye on the water," WCVB TV reported.
