Despite its limited resources, Rwanda's early measures in the pandemic are proving to be efficient, with a low number of cases and the spread of the virus under control. Rwanda's experience dealing with other infectious disease outbreaks, using systems and equipment already in place to address HIV, allowed the country to make all testing and treatment available for free. Robots used in Rwanda's treatment centers can screen people for Covid-19, deliver medication, etc. The identification of cases was improved with pool testing, to test more samples at once and identify infected people faster. Contact tracing has been successfully handled with help from police and college students. Political leadership holds a crucial role as well; Rwandans listen to their government orders and have been wearing masks, washing hands, implementing social distancing and staying home. Despite being classified by the World Bank as a low-income country, Rwanda is an example to other nations with limited resources.
