The restaurant Starving Artist in Ocean Grove, N.J., has been struggling during the pandemic. So much so, that the owner was even doubting if the restaurant would be able to reopen this year -- until a generous gesture renewed the faith of the whole team. A customer who prefers to remain anonymous left a $1,000 tip for a $43 bill. He also left a note that made all the crew shed some tears. It read: "Thank you so much for working through this tough time. You are a big part of our [Ocean Grove] community. We are grateful for your delicious food, warm smiles and great atmosphere.... Please know we appreciate you all very much. It wouldn't be a good summer without the Starving Artist."
