Death of his business partners Covid+ve sister moved Shahnawaz Shaikh so much that he sold his beloved SUV. He learnt from doctors that had she been provided oxygen in time, she could have been saved. Shaikh decided to sell his SUV, use that money to buy oxygen cylinders, and distribute them for free to the needy. Besides the cylinder, he also provides each family a crash course in its use. To make up for shortage of ambulances, he had earlier transported patients to hospitals. Shaikh has a 2-year old daughter, but that hasnt deterred him from helping Covid+ve patients. Victor Frankl famously said that more than money, man wants meaning in his work. Shaikh doesnt regret his decision. He will consider himself blessed if his work helps even a single family.
