Professors along with a group of present and former students have come together to cook and serve meals to migrant labourers and other needy people in the Pune. It was college principal Aftab Anwar Sheikh who came up with the plan. A message was then circulated among professors, students and alumni. It received a generous response as 150 people gathered over the week- work commencing at 6AM and going on till late night. So far, they have been feeding 600 stranded workers every day. A Professor shared "This time, we came together for the nation. We had no specific target when we started the work, but were only aware that this was being done for the underprivileged".
