Although Aunt Jemima, the 130-year-old syrup and pancake mix brand, has had a few changes and modernizations in its image through the years, its parent company Quaker Oats admitted this month that those changes were not enough -- that the current brand was based on a racist archetype. As a way to support the movement to put an end to racial bias and injustice, the name and image of the product will be changed by the end of the year.
