An incredible group of people, the majority of them women of color, have been sewing masks for underprivileged groups such as women in shelters, Native American reservations and at-risk communities. In an effort to provide assistance to groups who are regularly forgotten about, the efforts of the "Auntie Sewing Squad" have led to the creation and distribution of over 50,000 masks. Since fabric stores have been closing down, all donations to the Squad have been through Donor Box. The group was started by Kristina Wong and went from being a small project to an entire community of capable sewers with a desire to help.
