As protests continue across the country, medical professionals have come out and assisted demonstrators seeking help. In Oakland and San Francisco, Calif., street medics were rinsing tear gas out of the eyes of protestors and calming them down. As the field of medicine grows more diverse, the medical community has been more and more vocal about fighting for racial inequality. Dr. Olivia Park, a physician from Lifelong Medical Care, says it best: "It is our duty to stand up and speak up and protect our communities that are not being protected... This is the reason I went to medical school. This is what fulfills me. "
