Dr. Scott Rudes, principal of Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, traveled 1,500 miles to congratulate his 240 seniors personally at their homes and deliver their certificates. "One of our core values at our school is to ignite joy," he said, and he definitely did ignite the joy of the students and their families by honoring his students in this way.
