While speaking via video at his son's high school graduation, U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts said, "The coronavirus has pierced our illusion of certainty and control." He counseled students to make their way with humility, compassion and courage in a world turned upside down. "Humility. The pandemic should at least teach us that," he said. He urged students to show compassion not only for those who were sickened by or died from the virus, but for the many who "may bear scars you cannot see" for years to come.
