In Seattle's Hing Hay Park, many elderly did not want to leave their apartments. Naturally, the community came together to help. Volunteers with InterIm Community Development Association (Interim CDA) have now been delivering for 6 weeks. In the first week they delivered 15 grocery bags. Within a month deliveries to the elderly reached 1,000 bags. The Seattle police department even offered their support with over 20 officers. Wholesalers, restaurants and others are pitching in too.
