Eunuchs, when encountered, are generally considered as people who will leave only after they are paid adequate money. But in the present situation, when many from economically humble background are left with no food, eunuchs of Godhra and Vadodara in Gujarat have opened their coffers to make sure that nobody around them sleeps hungry. They are going from door-to-door to distribute food personally or supplying it to the needy ones through NGOs since the lock down came into effect. "We do not have any business and the money that we have is of the society. So today since the society is in need, we are giving it back but in a different form" said one of them.
