Saying "not every decision is a financial one," ubiquitous coffee company Starbucks announced it is boosting the wages of employees who choose to work during the coronavirus pandemic. On March 20th, the company temporarily suspended access to all of its 15,000 cafes in the United States, moving services to drive-thru and delivery-only. "Partners who are able and choose to continue to come to work will be eligible for Starbucks Service Pay, an additional $3 per hour for shifts worked as scheduled," the company announced. "No partner should be asked to choose between work and their health," CEO Kevin Johnson wrote in a letter.
