Dennis Ruhnke, a Kansas farmer in his 70s, donated one of his four N95 masks to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to be given to any field worker who needed it. This was especially touching since his wife has one lung and diabetes, putting her at high risk for coronavirus. Cuomo went public on Twitter to thank him, and aptly called him "humanity at its best." In recognition of his selfless act, Kansas State University awarded Ruhnke his long-pending bachelors degree. "In 1971, Dennis was two credits away from earning his degree in agriculture when his father passed away. He chose to leave school to take care of his mother and the family farm," Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly said. "Dennis's kindness and lifelong career in agriculture make him more than qualified to receive a degree."
